Ken you have a way with words! When Wes Winter played in the Wes Winters Showroom at the Liberace Museum the room was always filled and the gift shop was always busy. I am sure Mr. Liberace would be very angry at the administration for their mismanagement of his personal effects. When a man of his talent with his knowledge makes a tribute of his personal costumes, piano's and cars so future generations can enjoy history of show business I think it's a lack of responsibility on the key members of the administration. I am very surprised that the Board who has the responsibility of hiring the President and CFO of the museum didn't do a more thorough background of these people! I hope that the museum can stay open it is a landmark and a tribute that deserves longevity and the support of the community. If you decide to do a fund raiser I would be happy to help. Just let me know....Arlene

Hi Ken,

I love this research into this topic of branding shopping bags. I think it was back in the late 1980s and early 1990s when I used to live in NYC. Sophisticated NY women would carry their brown bag lunch in a Saks Fifth Ave little shopping bag. In San Francisco it could have been I Magnin (in the day, hand over heart, RIP) or Neiman Marcus. No plan brown bags for us! We FELT more like sophisticated NYrs doing that.

I like both the study and how you then use it to suggest ways to weave this into our lives to feel better about ourselves that day.

Happy Dating and Relationships,

Hi Ken,

A 2:1 ratio really is quite high. That's a significant research find. When I contemplate the topic, indeed the basic result really is what I would have predicted, that we often go for the short term instant gratification option. Having the specific numbers is so beneficial so it is not just an anecdotal gut feeling, someone's unsubstantiated personal opinion.
